RESOURCES FOR PARENTS & CAREGIVERS
Raising A Reader’s Family Shared Reading program provides shared reading strategies that parents and caregivers can do with children to make the most out of their reading time together. Each strategy can be practiced for a few minutes a day with books provided in your Family Pack, favorite books from home, or books borrowed from the library. The section below provides videos, in English and Spanish, that demonstrate how parents and caregivers can incorporate these strategies into their reading time with children. Remember, there is no wrong way for families to share books together. What is important is that parents and caregivers are spending time with their children, sharing books and stories and having fun!
