Celebrating 20 Years
20 Years of Changing Children’s Lives Through Literacy
2019 marks Raising A Reader’s 20th year of service to children and families across the country! We launch our celebratory anniversary campaign, 20 Years of Changing Children’s Lives Through Literacy, on the first day of Spring 2019.
Over the past 20 years, our early childhood movement has accomplished so much. Together we have:
- Served more than 1.7 million children and families
- Partnered with more than 500 host organizations in 40 states and territories across the United States
- Earned numerous awards and prestigious recognition
- Collected 39 independent evaluations
Over the course of the campaign, we will reflect on the critical impact we have had on children. Our hope is to engage all of you in various planned activities, culminating in our Raising A Reader 20th Anniversary National Institute and Celebratory Luncheon in Northern California in the mid-Fall. We also look forward to announcing the strategic plan that will guide our work for the next decade.
One thing we know for certain is that all of you have great stories from your Raising A Reader program. In the coming days we will be sending out a call for great stories that we will collect and highlight on our website, social media, and at National Institute.
